L.L. Green Upholstery and Design was opened in Ankeny, Iowa in the winter of
1995. It was owned and developed by La Neysa Green. Living in West Texas the
opportunity came to work for the oldest handmade boot and saddle maker in the
southwest. That's where a passion for fine leathers and exotic skins began and
has evolved to where we are today. Working for a shop in Des Moines for a few
years building truck interiors and recovering seats, the creative and artistic
abilities weren't needed. After a year of building projects on the kitchen table
and being sought out by former customers the decision was made to open a shop.
After 10 years in Des Moines, L.L. Green Upholstery and Design was one of the
largest upholstery shops in central Iowa. In July 2006 L.L. Green relocated
to Clarksville, Iowa. We still work with a number of clients in Des Moines and
out of state. From building seat pans, fiberglass, welding and woodwork to interior
decorating, window treatments, and custom artwork, L.L. Green Upholstery is
more than your typical upholstery shop. We can produce that gift that keeps
on giving for the person who has everything. We install gel packs in existing
seats as well as solving problems for customers who have height issues with
their bikes by modifying and lowering their seats, creating a comfortable, secure
feeling while riding. From cutting edge "one of a kind"
designs for bike seats to the heavy equipment seats to the simple everyday dining
room or kitchen chairs we have been able to meet the needs of our customers
in every aspect of the upholstery business. We offer an extensive line of fabrics
for our customers to choose from for their projects as well as some of the finest
imported leather and high-end exotic hides and skins for motorcycle seats. We
